HOW A product OPERATES

Your Professional Rain Gauge measures rainfall in millimetresover a set period, usually 24 hours. Just like commercial rain gauges,it has a housing (outer cylinder) to protect the measuring cylinderinside. The top of the gauge or funnel, has a larger surface areathan the top of the measuring cylinder. The extra rainwatercollected makes it easier to read the measuring cylinder andimproves accuracy.

Attach the rain gauge to a post in a safe, runoff-free location. Ensure it'sat least twice the height of the nearest structure away. For best results.keep the gauge straight, vertical, and close to the ground.

Recording rainfall:

Record the rain gauge results at the same time daily. Read from thebase of the meniscus at eve level. For accuracy, install two gauges sixmeters apart and average the readings to minimise wind effects
